The experience of shame in the stories of female prostitutes in the novels written by Petra Hůlová.

Niniejsza praca magisterska porusza zagadnienia wstydu pojawiającego się w doświadczeniach postaci prostytutek – bohaterek powieści Petry Hůlovej, Pamět moji babičce oraz Umělohmotný třípokoj.Praca została podzielona na dwie główne części – teoretyczną oraz analityczną.Część teoretyczna opisuje tematykę prostytucji, jej znaczenie, historię, motywacje kierujące człowiekiem podejmującym się tego zajęcia oraz przedstawienie zagadnienia w literaturze, a także problematykę wstydu.Część analityczna zawiera próbę przedstawienia doświadczenia wstydu u czterech prostytutek będących bohaterkami powieści Petry Hůlovej: Dzai, Nary, Šarceceg oraz bezimiennej prostytutki z M3.

This dissertation deals with the issues of shame appearing in the experiences of prostitutes - the protagonists of the novels written by Petra Hůlová, Pamět moji babičce and Umělohmotný třípokoj.The thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and analytical.The theoretical part describes the subject of prostitution, its meaning, history, motivations driving a person undertaking this activity and presenting the issue in literature, as well as the subject of shame.The analytical part attempts to present the experience of shame in four prostitutes who are the protagonists of Petra Hůlova's novels: Dzaja, Nara, Šarceceg and the nameless prostitute from Umělohmotný třípokoj.
