The Marshall Plan

Przedmiotem pracy jest Plan Marshalla i jego wpływ na gospodarkę państw europejskich. Plan Marshalla został uchwalony przez Kongres Stanów Zjednoczonych 3 kwietnia 1948 roku. Jego celem była pomoc w rekonstrukcji europejskiej gospodarki, oferowana państwom Europy Zachodniej. W ramach Planu państwom europejskim udzielono finansowego wsparcia w wysokości 130 miliardów dolarów, przy zachowaniu aktualnej wartości waluty, a także przekazano towary pierwszej potrzeby. Skutkiem Planu Marshalla był wzrost produkcji rolnej i przemysłowej państw objętych projektem. W niniejszej pracy została poddana analizie skuteczność planu Marshalla oraz jego rola w procesie gospodarczej odbudowy, a także integracji Europy ze Stanami Zjednoczonymi. Zinterpretowano dane dotyczące wzrostu produkcji rolnej i przemysłowej w wyniku Planu Marshalla oraz porównano je z wynikami z okresu międzywojennego, a także z okresu powojennego. Praca porusza również kwestię państw, które nie skorzystały z Planu Marshalla oraz w jaki sposób zrekonstruowały swoje gospodarki.

The subject of bachelor dissertation is the Marshall Plan and its influence on the economy of European countries. The Marshall Plan was established by the US Congress on April 3, 1948. The Marshall Plan was intended to help the countries of Western Europe to reconstruct the European economy. Within the framework of the Plan, European countries were given financial support of 130 billion dollars, while maintaining the actual value of the currency, as well as the transfer of basic goods. The Marshall Plan resulted in an increase in agricultural and industrial production of the countries covered by the project. This paper examines the effectiveness of the Marshall Plan and its role in the economic recovery and integration of Europe with the United States. The data on the growth of agricultural and industrial production as a result of the Marshall Plan were interpreted and compared with the results from the interwar and postwar period. The paper also addresses the question of countries that did not benefit from the Marshall Plan and how they reconstructed their economies.
