Tematem pracy jest wojna domowa w Tadżykistanie. Pierwszy rozdział obejmuje uwarunkowania historyczne sprzed 1992 roku, proces rozpadu ZSRR i kształtowania granic Tadżykistanu. Drugi rozdział opisuje sytuację w Republice Tadżyckiej w trakcie wojny domowej w latach 1992 do 1997. Trzeci rozdział prezentuje zaangażowanie Federacji Rosyjskiej i Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych w konflikt. Ostatni rozdział jest przedstawieniem sytuacji współczesnej, w tym współpracy państwa z mocarstwami w kwestiach antyterrorystycznej. Celem pracy jest pokazanie przebiegu wojny domowej, zaangażowania w nią mocarstw oraz próby wyciągnięcia wniosku co do dalszej roli Republiki Tadżykistanu w regionie Azji Centralnej.
The subject of the master thesis is The Tajikistani Civil War. The first chapter presents the historic determinants before 1992, the collapse of the Soviet Union and the formation of the modern Tajik borders. The second chapter shows the course of the civil war in the years 1992 to 1997. The third chapter presents the involvment of the Russian Federation and the United Nations. The last chapter shows the current situation in Tajikistan and Tajik cooperation with the superpowers in the aniterrorist matters. The purpose of the following thesis is to present the civil war in Tajikistan and the involvment of the superpowers in it while trying to determine the role of Tajikistan in the future of Central Asia.
