Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie w jaki sposób rozwój alternatywnych źródeł energii wpłynął na proces kształtowania się międzynarodowego reżimu klimatycznego. Industrializacja i globalizacja wymusiły na ludzkości potrzebę szukania alternatywnych sposobów pozyskiwania energii ze względu na narastające problemy środowiskowe i wpływ człowieka na klimat. Rozwój odnawialnych źródeł energii stał się szansą na ograniczenie emisji gazów cieplarnianych, dając nadzieję na zmniejszenie zanieczyszczeń w atmosferze. Praca przedstawia opis i analizę sposobu w jaki kształtowały się negocjacje klimatyczne, doprowadzając do ukształtowania się reżimu zmian klimatu, przedstawia stanowiska największych emitentów gazów cieplarnianych, a także dokonuje prezentacji poszczególnych rodzajów źródeł odnawialnych z uwzględnieniem ich atrybutów niskoemisyjności.

The purpose of the diploma thesis is to present how the renewable sources of energy impact the process of creation the international climate regime. Industralization and globalization force humanity to seek for alternative sources of the production the energy because of the inceasing environmental problems and the human impact on it. The development of the renewable sources of energy became a chance to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases giving a hope for reducing the contamination in the atmosphere. The thesis presents the description and analysis of how the international climate negotiations were shaping withing the years which finally led to form the international climate regime, presents the positions of countries by the biggest carbon dioxide emissions and provide a description of each source of renewable energy including their attributes of low carbon efficiency.
