Praca przedstawia genezę, przebieg i skutki wydarzeń marcowych 1968 roku. Praca opisuje sytuację wewnętrzną Polski w latach sześćdziesiątych, w tym politykę państwa w kwestii żydowskiej, oraz poprzedzającą wydarzenia marcowe działalność Jacka Kuronia, Karola Modzelewskiego i „komandosów”. W pracy opisano protesty młodzieży, które odbyły się wiosną 1968 r. w różnych polskich miastach, oraz prowadzoną wtedy przez państwo kampanię „antysyjonistyczną”. W pracy poruszono również problem reakcji polskiego społeczeństwa na protesty studentów i kampanię antysemicką oraz politycznego tła kampanii antyżydowskiej. W pracy opisano też emigrację Polaków pochodzenia żydowskiego, procesy uczestników protestów marcowych i dokonane w 1968 r. zmiany w szkolnictwie wyższym. Praca zawiera też osobny rozdział poświęcony zagadnieniom prawnym, między innymi ocenie legalności ówczesnych działań władz.

The thesis presents the genesis, course and effects of the events of March 1968. The dissertation describes the internal situation of Poland in the 1960s, including the state's policy on the Jewish issue, and the activities of Jacek Kuroń, Karol Modzelewski and the "commandos" that preceded the March events. The work describes the youth protests that took place in various Polish cities in the spring of 1968 and the state-run "anti-Zionist" campaign. It also deals with the problem of the reaction of Polish society to student protests and the anti-Semitic campaign, as well as the political background of the anti-Jewish campaign. The thesis also describes the emigration of Poles of Jewish origin, the trials of participants in the March protests and the changes made in 1968 in higher education. The dissertation also contains a separate chapter devoted to legal issues, including the assessment of the legality of the government's actions at that time.
