The Identity of Koreans in Japan Based on the Novel "Pachinko" and its Serial Adaptation

Praca dotyczy problemu tożsamości Koreańczyków w Japonii na podstawiepowieści Min Jin Lee „Pachinko” oraz jej serialowej adaptacji. Jest to próba przyjrzenia się pojęciu tożsamości mieszkańców Półwyspu Koreańskiego w kontekście migracji, a także w obliczu okupacji czy wojny. Praca bada podobieństwa i różnice w obrazowaniu tożsamości Koreańczyków, zachodzące między powieścią a jej serialową adaptacją.

This paper explores the issue of Korean identity in Japan based on Min Jin Lee'snovel "Pachinko" and its serial adaptation. This study aims to examine the concept of identity among Korean Peninsula residents in the context of migration, occupation and war. The work investigates the similarities and differences in the depiction of Korean identity between the novel and its serial adaptation.
