Eduardo Mendoza`s The adventure of the powder room as an example of parodical detective genre novel

Głównym celem pracy jest udowodnienie że książka Eduardo Mendozy "Przygoda fryzjera damskiego" jest anty-kryminałem, poprzez porównanie jej z kryminałem Alicji Giménez Bartlett "Węże w raju". Moja praca składa się z wstępu, czterech rozdziałów, podsumowania i bibliografii. W pierwszym rozdziale wyjaśnia się czym jest kryminał, jakie są jego elementy, nurty, mówi się o jego historii, głównych autorach i ewolucji tego gatunku. W drugim rozdziale przedstawiam biografię Alicji Giménez Bartlett która reprezentuje współczesny kryminał, opisuję w skrócie jej główne dzieła oraz koncentruję się nad jej książką " Węże w raju", opisując fabułę i charakteryzując głównych bohaterów. W trzecim rozdziale przybliżam sylwetkę Eduardo Mendozy oraz jego twórczość. Następnie skupiam się nad jego książką " Przygoda fryzjera damskiego" jej fabułą i postaciami. W końcu w ostatnim rozdziale porównuję dzieła obu autorów i udowadniam w podsumowaniu że dzieło Mendozy jest anty-kryminałem.

The aim of my dissertation is to demonstrate that Eduardo Mendoza's novel "The adventure of the powder room" is an example of parodical detective genre by comparing it with the novel of Alicia Giménez Bartlett's story titled "Snakes in paradise". My dissertation is structured with introduction, four chapters, conclusion and bibliography. First part explains about crime fiction, its elements, forms and types, talks about the history and evolution of the genre and its main authors. In the next chapter I present biography of Alicia Giménez Bartlett who is an example of a contemporary crime fiction author, I talk about her work with focus on her novel "Snakes in paradise"- describing the story and main characters. Third part concentrate on Eduardo Mendoza and his work, talks about "The adventure of powder room" it's story line and characters. In last chapter I compare both novels and prove my thesis that Eduardo Mendoza's book is an example of a specific genre of literature - detective fiction parody.

El mayor objetivo de este trabajo es demostrar que el libro de Eduardo Mendoza La aventura del tocador de señoras´´ es una antinovela policíaca, al compararla con la novela detectivesca de Alicia Giménez Bartlett Serpientes en el paraíso´´. Este trabajo comprende cuatro capítulos, una conclusión y por último una bibliografía. En el primer capítulo se explica que es la novela policíaca, como son sus elementos, corrientes, se habla sobre su historia, sus autores principales y evolución del género. En el segundo capítulo presento la biografía de Alicia Giménez Bartlett, que representa la novela detectivesca actual. Describo en breves palabras sus obras principales, también me concentro en su libro Serpientes en el paraíso´´ describiendo argumento y trama y caracterizando los protagonistas. En el tercer capítulo hablo sobre la vida y la creación de Eduardo Mendoza. Después me concentro en su obra La aventura del tocador de señoras´´ su argumento y trama y sus protagonistas. Por último, en el cuarto capítulo comparo dos libros y en la conclusión pruebo que ``La aventura del tocador de señoras´´ es la antinovela policíaca.
