The love silhouette of the lyrical subject in the poetry of Mila Elin in the context of Roland Barthes's "Fragments of a Love Discourse"

Niniejsza praca licencjacka podejmuje próbę scharakteryzowania sylwetki miłosnej podmiotki lirycznej z zachowanej spuścizny poetyckiej Mili Elin. Głównym narzędziem badawczym uczyniono koncepcję dyskursu miłosnego Rolanda Barthesa, co pozwoliło na analizę afektywnego wymiaru jej wierszy uwolnioną od dominującego w dotychczasowej recepcji paradygmatu interpretacyjnego spajającego materię badawczą z twórczością Tadeusza Peipera. Interpretacja konkretnych figur dyskursu umożliwiła naszkicowanie sylwetki miłosnej podmiotki lirycznej badanych wierszy. Praca weryfikuje również linearny schemat chronologii twórczości Elin, zaproponowany przez Stanisława Jaworskiego, dowodząc, że emocjonalna mapa jej dorobku jest bardziej mozaikowa i nielinearna niż sugerował to podział na fazy: od kokieterii, przez niepokoje, po rezygnację. Analiza szesnastu erotyków ujawnia spójny portret podmiotki skazanej na monolog wykluczenia, której dyskurs miłosny stanowi próbę ujarzmienia doświadczenia niespełnienia i straty.

This bachelor's thesis attempts to characterize the love silhouette of the lyrical subject from Mila Elin's extant poetic legacy. Roland Barthes's concept of love discourse served as the primary research tool, allowing for an analysis of the affective dimension of her poems, freeing it from the dominant interpretative paradigm in previous reception, which linked the research material to the work of Tadeusz Peiper. Interpreting specific discourse figures enabled the sketching of the love silhouette of the lyrical subject in the poems under examination. The thesis also verifies the linear chronology of Elin's work proposed by Stanisław Jaworski, arguing that the emotional map of her oeuvre is more mosaic-like and non-linear than suggested by the division into phases: from coquetry, through anxiety, to resignation. The analysis of sixteen erotic poems reveals a coherent portrait of a subject condemned to a monologue of exclusion, whose love discourse constitutes an attempt to tame the experience of unfulfillment and loss.
