Interactive B-tree animation

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy było przybliżenie oraz opisanie struktury danych jaką jest B drzewo, jak również stworzenie aplikacji umożliwiającej jego interaktywną wizualizację. Na łamach kolejnych rozdziałów opisane zostały teoretyczne podstawy, sposób działania algorytmów oraz instrukcja w jaki sposób obsługiwać powstały program. Aplikacja dostarcza użytkownikowi narzędzi umożliwiających tworzenie oraz edycje B-drzew. Zaimplementowane zostały między innymi funkcje takie jak dodawanie, usuwanie kluczy, czy możliwość przeszukiwania B drzewa. Każdej z możliwych operacji towarzyszy odpowiednia animacja, ukazująca działanie adekwatnego algorytmu.

The aim of the thesis was to approximate and describe the data structure called B-tree as well as to create an application facilitating it interactive visualization. The following chapters are delineated the theoretical basics, the way how algorithms work, and instructions on how to use the developed program. The application provides the user some tools for creating and editing B-trees. Among other things, functions such as adding, deleting keys, or the ability to search the B-tree have been implemented. Each of the possible operations is accompanied by an appropriate animation that showing the proceeding of an appropriate algorithm.
