True crime is an often seen theme in popular culture. From movies and TV shows about fictional serial killers, to stories based on true events, the serial killer topic is a recurring theme. This work will deal with the phenomenon of true crime in American pop culture, based on the case of Jeffrey Dahmer and the series that was based on it: Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story created by Ryan Murphy.
