Armenia in the years 2004-2009 from the perspective of a Polish ambassador

The author analyses relations between Poland and Armenia in the years 2004-2009, when he was an ambassador of Poland in Yerevan. The author shows the geopolitical context of these relations and characterises Armenian politicians playing at that time the most important role in the creation of Armenian relations with other countries. Furthermore, he describes the main issues of this period: organisation of Armenian diplomacy; establishment of diplomatic missions in Yerevan, positions of the USA, Russia, and Turkey; conflict about Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) with Azerbaijan; visits of Polish politicians in Armenia; cultural cooperation.
