From failure to masterpiece, history of Swan Lake

Praca skupia się wokół jednego z najsławniejszych romantycznych baletów świata - Jezioro łabędzie, autorstwa Piotra Czajkowskiego. W części pierwszej krótko opisywana jest historia kształtowania się baletu klasycznego, zaś w drugiej przedstawiana jest historia powstawania Jeziora łabędziego i jego dwóch premier z 1877 roku w choreografii Juliusa Reisingera oraz z 1895 roku w choreografii Mariusa Petipy i Lwa Iwanowa. Praca zawiera także opis i interpretację muzyki z poszczególnych aktów oraz interpretację choreografii z zapisu stworzonego przez Kirov Ballet.

The thesis centers around one of the most famous romantic ballets of the world - Swan Lake, by Tchaikovsky. The first part briefly describes the history of the formation of classical ballet, the second part presents the history of the formation of Swan Lake and his two premiers: first from 1877 choreographed by Julius Reisinger in Moscow and second from 1895 choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov in Petersburg. The thesis also includes a description and interpretation of music from the individual acts and the interpretation of the choreography of the record created by the Kirov Ballet.
