Brexit. Reasons, process and consequences for the European Union

Niniejsza praca poświęcona jest próbie oceny skutków Brexitu dla Unii Europejskiej i Wielkiej Brytanii, a także analizie głównych przyczyn, które skłoniły ten kraj do podjęcia takiej decyzji podczas referendum. Oprócz tego w pracy rozważano kwestie prawne i proceduralne dotyczące procesu wystąpienia Zjednoczonego Królestwa ze struktur unijnych, a także określono pewne możliwe szablony przyszłych stosunków UE-Wielka Brytania. W pracy przyjęto za cel zgromadzenie i usystematyzowanie ogromu informacji na temat Brexitu oraz próba dać odpowiedź na pytanie: czy wyjście Wielkiej Brytanii z Unii Europejskiej będzie niekorzystne zarówno dla jej samej, jak i całej Wspólnoty? Wyniki analizy pozwoliły stwierdzić, że Brexit wywołałby negatywne skutki zarówno dla Zjednoczonego Królestwa, jak i całej UE. Wielka Brytania wychodząc z Unii więcej by straciła niż zyskała.

This paper is devoted to an attempt to assess Brexite's impact on the European Union and the United Kingdom, and to analyze the main reasons that led the country to make such a decision during the referendum. In addition, work has dealt with legal and procedural issues concerning the UK's process of EU structures, sets out some possible templates for future EU-UK relations.The aim of this resource was to gather and systematize the vastness of information about Brexit and to try to answer the question: whether British decision to leave the the European Union would be disadvantageous for Great Britain itself and for whole of the Community? The results of the analysis allowed to say that Brexit would have a negative impact on both the United Kingdom and the EU. Britain leaving the Union more would have lost than gained.
