StreszczenieWstęp: Choroba afektywna dwubiegunowa charakteryzuje się występowaniem epizodów depresji i manii,w przebiegu których zmianie ulega nastrój, napęd psychoruchowy, dobowy rytm snu i czuwania, popęd płciowy oraz poczucie własnej wartości. W wyniku tych zaburzeń pacjenci prezentują zachowania, przejawiają emocje i podejmują decyzje, które stanowią wyzwanie dla zespołu pielęgniarskiego w trakcie sprawowania opieki. Szczególnego znaczenia w podejmowanych interwencjach przez pielęgniarki nabiera ich sposób komunikowania się z pacjentem w oparciu o terapeutyczne techniki.Cel pracy: Celem pracy była ocena poziomu aktywności komunikacyjnej pielęgniarek, a także trudności, jakich doświadczają one w trakcie sprawowania opieki nad pacjentami z chorobą afektywną dwubiegunową.Materiał, metody: Badanie przeprowadzono wśród 68 pielęgniarek, pracujących na oddziałach psychiatrii w Szpitalu Specjalistycznym im. dr. J. Babińskiego w Krakowie SP ZOZ metodą sondażu diagnostycznego wykorzystaniem Skali Aktywności Komunikacyjnej oraz kwestionariusza własnego autorstwa.Wyniki badań: Pielęgniarki uczestniczące w badaniu prezentowały poziom aktywności komunikacyjnej powyżej średniej. Jednocześnie potwierdziły występowanie trudności w opiece nad pacjentem wynikające z obrazu klinicznego choroby niezależnie od epizodu choroby. Wnioski: Prezentowane wyniki badania pozwalają wnioskować, że istnieje związek między poziomem aktywności komunikacyjnej pielęgniarek, doświadczanymi trudnościami, a zmiennymi demograficznymi, takimi jak wiek i staż pracy. SummaryIntroduction: Bipolar disorder is characterized by episodes of depression and mania, in the course of which can change the mood, psychomotor drive, circadian rhythm of sleep and wakefulness, sexual desire, and self-esteem. As a result of these disorders, patients present behavior, manifest emotions and make decisions, which are a challenge for the team in the course of nursing care. Special meaning in the interventions undertaken by nurses becomes their way of communicating with the patient on the basis of therapeutic techniques.The aim of the study: was to evaluate the relationship between the activity of communication of nurses, and the difficulties they experience in the course of care for patients with bipolar disorder.Material, Methods: The study was conducted among 68 nurses working in psychiatry wards in the Specialist Hospital. dr. J. Babinski Crakow method of diagnostic survey using the Scale of Activities Communication and the questionnaire by their own.Test results: nurses involved in the study presented above the level of communication activity score. At the same time confirmed the existence of difficulties patient care resulting from the clinical picture of the disease, regardless of an episode of illness.Conclusions: The presented results of the study allow to conclude that there is a relationship between the level of communication activity of nurses, Experiential difficulties and demographic variables such as age and seniority.
