The characteristics of the contemporary volunteer

Praca magisterska "Charakterystyka współczesnego wolontariusza" poświęcona jest zagadnieniu wolontariatu, a przede wszystkim skupia się na przybliżeniu sylwetki współczesnego wolontariusza. Autor pracy stara się wyjaśnić to, dlaczego ludzie podejmują się wolontariatu, jakie korzyści z tego czerpią oraz czy wolontariat jest im potrzebny. Przedstawiony zostaje również wątek e-wolontariatu oraz implikacji z nim związanych. W rozdziale pierwszym znajduje się wprowadzenie do terminologii pojęć, takich jak: trzeci sektor, gospodarka społeczna, sektor non profit z wyraźnym zaznaczeniem podobieństw i różnic między nimi. W rozdziale drugim zostaje przeanalizowane zjawisko wolontariatu. Zestawione zostają w nim definicje i ramy teoretyczne pojęcia wolontariatu oraz charakterystyka wolontariusza w oparciu o dane zastane. Rozdział trzeci traktuje o wywiadach pogłębionych przeprowadzonych przez autora. Pozwala to na zestawienie badań z tego rozdziału, z tymi z rozdziału poprzedniego. Uważa się, że udało się przedstawić współczesnego wolontariusza z różnych perspektyw na bazie danych zastanych oraz dopełnić to badaniami podjętymi przez autora.

Master's thesis "The characteristics of the contemporary volunteer" focuses on today's voluntary work, primarily on the contemporary volunteer. It tries to explain why people undertake volunteering, what benefits do they have, or whether we need volunteering. The topic of e-volunteering and the related implications are also presented. The first chapter introduces the terminology of the third sector, social economy, non-profit sector with a clear indication of the similarities and differences between them. In the second chapter, the reader will encounter the main theme of the work - volunteering. This chapter presents the definitions and the framework for volunteering, the characteristics of the volunteer in previous quantitative research and detailed aspects relating to such a character. The third chapter deals with qualitative research carried out by the author. This allows to compare the tests from this chapter with those from the previous chapter. It is believed that a contemporary volunteer was presented from various perspectives and complemented by studies undertaken by the author.
