Rozdział pierwszy zawiera informacje dotyczące Indian i kolonistów angielskich. Charakteryzuje obie cywilizacje, a także relacje indiańsko – angielskie. Określa ponadto przyczyny konfliktów, do jakich dochodziło pomiędzy Anglikami a plemionami indiańskimi od samego początku kolonizacji. W dalszej kolejności zawiera opis pierwszych walk, pokazuje metody walki i skutki wojen. Na końcu pokazuje jak wyglądały pierwsze próby skolonizowania kontynentu północnoamerykańskiego, podejmowane zarówno przez Anglię jak i przez Francję. Rozdział drugi poświęcony został w całości osobie Jerzego Waszyngtona. Zawiera zatem informacje o jego narodzinach, dzieciństwie, młodości, pierwszej pracy, a także o karierze wojskowej i politycznej, która zwieńczona została zdobyciem przez niego funkcji pierwszego prezydenta Stanów Zjednoczonych. W dalszej kolejności rozdział ten koncentruje się na stosunku Jerzego Waszyngtona do Indian i niewolników, a także na jego życiu prywatnym. Pokazuje jego życie w Mount Vernon, małżeństwo z Martą Dandridge Custis, a także jego usposobienie i wygląd. Chapter III is focused around the most important issue - the presence of Indians in the diaries of George Washington. This chapter begins on the showing the relationship between England and France. Subsequently, it contains information about three Washington's journeys during which he met the Indians, he negotiated with them and he benefited from their help. In this chapter described: journey from the command of Lord Fairfax from 1748, a trip to the French camp in the years 1753 – 1754 and the trip to the Ohio from 1754.
