Celem pracy jest przedstawienie zmian we współczesnych ujęciach mitu o Demeter i Persefonie w komiksach oraz omówienie funkcji retellingu.Analizie zostały poddane wybrane teksty kultury popularnej w formie komiksu.Wybrane przeze mnie komiksy poddałam analizie porównawczej z najstarszym znanym zapisem mitu o Demeter i Persefonie oraz omawiam funkcje retellingu.Dokonuję przeglądu kulturowych zmian dokonanych w komiksowych retellingach inspirowanych klasycznym mitem o Demeter i Persefonie.
The aim of the article is to present changes in the contemporary conceptualization of myth about Demeter and Persona in comics and discussing the function of retelling. I thoroughly analyze the selected texts of popculture in the form of comics.The examples of comics chosen by me have been subjected to a comparative analysis, juxtaposing them with the oldest known record of myth about Demeter and Persephone and discuss the retelling functions.I am reviewing cultural changes made in comic retellings inspired by the classic myth of Demeter and Persephone.
