Protective effect of bee products on the skin - literature analysis

Niniejsza praca stanowi wkład w rozwój wiedzy na temat roli produktów naturalnych w pielęgnacji skóry, służąc lepszemu zrozumieniu potencjału miodu i innych produktów pszczelich jako składników kosmetyków i środków pielęgnacyjnych. Praca skupia się na analizie bioaktywnych składników miodu i produktów pszczelich odpowiedzialnych za ich działanie na skórę, a także na mechanizmach biologicznych wpływających na poprawę jej kondycji oraz praktycznych zastosowaniach miodu i produktów pszczelich w kosmetyce i dermatologii. Główna część pracy prezentuje wyniki badań oparte na analizie literatury naukowej. Badania laboratoryjne oraz badania kliniczne były analizowane pod kątem skuteczności miodu i produktów pszczelich w leczeniu różnych schorzeń skórnych, takich jak dermatozy, rany i oparzenia. Ponadto, omówione zostały mechanizmy działania miodu i produktów pszczelich na poziomie komórkowym oraz związki chemiczne odpowiedzialne za korzystne właściwości tych produktów.

This thesis contributes to the development of knowledge on the role of natural products in skin care, serving to better understand the potential of honey and other bee products as ingredients of cosmetics and care products. It focuses on the analysis of the components of honey and bee products responsible for their effect on the skin, biological mechanisms that improve skin condition, and the practical use of honey and bee products in cosmetics and dermatology.The main part of the thesis presents research results based on the analysis of scientific literature. Laboratory tests and clinical studies have been analyzed for the effectiveness of honey and bee products in the treatment of various skin diseases, such as dermatoses, wounds and burns. Also, the mechanisms of action of honey and bee products at the cellular level and the chemical compounds responsible for their beneficial properties were discussed.
