Determinants and biological consequences of pregnancy in adolescent girls

Nastoletnie ciąże stanowią globalny problem zdrowotny, dotykając zarówno jednostki, jak i społeczeństwa jako całość. Celem pracy jest pogłębienie wiedzy na temat determinantów i biologicznych konsekwencji nastoletnich ciąż oraz zwiększenie świadomości społecznej na temat tego zjawiska. W pracy omówione zostały czynniki społeczne, ekonomiczne i psychologiczne, które przyczyniają się do tego zjawiska, a także skutki biologiczne zarówno dla matki, jak i dziecka. Główne determinanty nastoletnich ciąż to niski status społeczno-ekonomiczny, brak edukacji seksualnej oraz niewłaściwe wykorzystanie środków antykoncepcyjnych. Istotnym aspektem są także normy kulturowe i dostęp do usług zdrowotnych, które mogą wpływać na ryzyko zajścia w ciążę w młodym wieku. Biologiczne konsekwencje ciąży w młodym wieku obejmują powikłania w trakcie ciąży, porodu. Młodociana ciąża nie pozostaje również obojętna dla późniejszego stanu zdrowia matki i dziecka, co podkreśla konieczność wczesnej interwencji i wsparcia dla młodych matek.

Teen pregnancies are a global health issue, affecting both individuals and society as a whole. The determinants and biological consequences of pregnancies among teenagers have been analyzed. Social, economic, and psychological factors contributing to this phenomenon have been discussed, as well as the biological effects on both the mother and the child. The main determinants of teenage pregnancies include low socio-economic status, educational mismatch, lack of sexual education, and improper use of contraceptives. Cultural norms and access to health services, which can influence the risk of pregnancy at a young age, are also significant aspects. The biological consequences of pregnancy at a young age include complications during pregnancy and childbirth, as well as the long-term health of the mother and child, highlighting the need for early intervention and support for young mothers. The aim of this work is to deepen the understanding of the determinants and biological consequences of teenage pregnancies and to raise public awareness of this phenomenon.
