Polsko-angielska baza terminologiczna z dziedziny nowoczesnego przemysłu włókienniczego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem procesu tkania

Celem niniejszej pracy jest utworzenie bazy terminologicznej, która posłuży jako rzetelne źródło terminologii dla różnych odbiorców związanych z przemysłem tekstylnym. Praca została podzielona na dwie części. Część teoretyczna stanowi wprowadzenie do tematu języków specjalistycznych, tekstów specjalistycznych, a także dziedzin terminologii i terminografii. Niniejsza praca zawiera ponadto analizę języka w obrębie przemysłu tekstylnego oraz terminologii związanej z tą gałęzią przemysłu. W drugiej części pracy został przedstawiony proces tworzenia bazy terminologicznej, oparty na teoretycznych rozważaniach części pierwszej. Dziedzina przemysłu tekstylnego została podzielona na poddziedziny, aby zawęzić zakres terminologiczny bazy, oraz ze względu na uczestników komunikacji, aby określić jej potencjalnych odbiorców. Następnie, teksty stanowiące korpus do bazy terminologicznej zostały poddane analizie językowej. Praca zawiera przykładowe terminy składające się na polsko-angielską bazę terminologiczną z dziedziny nowoczesnego przemysłu włókienniczego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem procesu tkania.

The main objective of the present thesis is to create a terminological database that would serve as a reliable source of terminological information for different occupational groups within the textile industry. The thesis consists of two major parts. The theoretical part provides an insight into different theories concerned with Languages for Special Purposes, specialised texts, as well as the domains of terminology and terminography. Furthermore, the special language used within the textile industry and its terminology are described. In the second part, the process of creation of the terminology database, based on the theoretical considerations from part one, is demonstrated. The field of the textile industry is divided into subfields in order to determine the terminological scope of the database, and further on, into communication levels in order to determine the potential recipients of the termbase. Subsequently, the texts which constitute the corpus for the termbase are analysed. The paper consists of the examples of terms included in the Polish-English terminological database in the field of modern textile industry, with the focus on the process of weaving.
