Health problems of the patient with myasthenia gravis

Wstęp: Miastenia jest chorobą neuroimmunologiczną, w której wskutek zaburzeń połączeń nerwowo - mięśniowych dochodzi do nadmiernej męczliwości mięśni szkieletowych. Miastenia znacząco zmniejsza jakość życia chorego, wymaga ciągłego leczenia, jest przyczyną zależności chorego od innych osób, a nawet zagraża życiu w przypadku przełomu miastenicznego.Cel: Celem pracy było przedstawienie zakresu opieki nad pacjentem chorym na miastenię z uwzględnieniem jego problemów zdrowotnych na różnych etapach choroby. Materiały i metody: W pracy została użyta metoda dokumentacji, czyli gromadzenia i analizowania dokumentów, które obejmuje analizę ówcześnie wyselekcjonowanego piśmiennictwa.Wyniki: Na podstawie analizy zgromadzonego piśmiennictwa sformułowano 18 problemów zdrowotnych pacjenta z miastenią. Wnioski: Najczęstszymi problemami zdrowotnym u pacjentów z miastenią są: niepokój o zdrowie własne oraz możliwość funkcjonowania w życiu społecznym, deficyt samoopieki związany z nużliwością mięśni, dotyczący utrzymania higieny, żywienia, poruszania się, także trudności w komunikowaniu się oraz wszelkie powikłania związane z możliwością wystąpienia przełomu cholinergicznego/miastenicznego i związaną z tym koniecznością leczenia na oddziałach intensywnej terapii.

Background: Myasthenia gravis is anautoimmune or congenital neuromuscular disease that leads to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatigue. Myasthenia significantly reduces the quality of patient’s life, requires continuous treatment, is causing the dependence of the sick person on other people, and even life - threatening in case of myasthenic crisis.Purpose of the work: The aim of the work was to present the scope of patient care for myasthenia gravis with taking into account his health problems at different stages of the disease.Methods: The work was used the method of documentation, that is, the collection ofand analyze the documents, which include an analysis of the literature selected at the time.Results: On the basis of an analysis of the literature it was concluded 18 health problems the patient with myasthenia gravis.Conclusions: The most common health problems in patients with myasthenia gravis are: anxiety about the health and ability to function in society, self-care deficit related to the weakening of muscles, maintain hygiene, nutrition, mobility, difficulties in communicating and any complications with the possibility of the turn of the cholinergic/myasthenic and the ensuing need treatment on intensive care units.
