Analysis of the implementation of the pilot program "Prevention 40 PLUS" in Poland.
profilaktyka 40 plus, programy profilaktyczne, polityka zdrowotna, badania przesiewowe
prevention 40 plus, prevention programs, health policy, screening tests
W badaniu wzięły udział 102 osoby, a średnia wieku w badanej grupie wynosiła 54,1 lat (SD=7,18). Wśród badanych osób prawie 66% posiadało Internetowe Konto Pacjenta, natomiast w programie „Profilaktyka 40 PLUS” wzięło udział tylko niespełna 33% respondentów. W celu sprawdzenia zależności pomiędzy zmiennymi jakościowymi posłużono się Testem Chikwadrat. Do określenia różnic w średnich pomiędzy zmiennymi ilościowymi wykorzystano Test t-Studenta.Wyniki: Nie wykazano istotnie statystycznego związku pomiędzy wiekiem, płcią, miejscem zamieszkania, posiadaniem IKP i poziomem wykształcenia a wzięciem udziału w programie.
Introduction: The problem of an aging society and the increasing prevalence of civilization diseases requires effective health policy interventions. In 2021, the "Prevention 40 PLUS" program was introduced, which allows patients to receive e-referrals to the diagnostic test package, which is adjusted to the risk factors verified while completing the qualifying questionnaire via the Internet Patient Account (IKP) or via the hotline. Objective: The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between the level of education, age, place of residence, gender and having an Internet Patient Account and participation in the "Prevention 40 PLUS" program, as well as to examine the opinion on the "Prevention 40 PLUS" program among its recipients.Material and methods: The study was conducted using a shared questionnaire on social media. 102 people participated in the study, and the mean age in the study group was 54.1 years (SD=7.18). Among the surveyed people, almost 66% had an IKP, while only less than 33% of the respondents took part in the "Prevention 40 PLUS" program. In order to check the relationship between the qualitative variables, the Chi-square test was used. Student's t-test was used to determine differences in means between quantitative variables. Results: There was no statistically significant relationship between age, sex, place of residence, having an IKP, education level and participation in the program. The main sources from which the respondents found out about the program were family (27%) and the Internet (25.7%). The main reasons for not participating in the program were the lack of the need to do screening tests, the lack of interest in the program and the unattractive diagnostics test package and the lack of motivation from a health care worker. Conclusions: The authors of the program should extend the promotional activities of the program and broaden the package of diagnostic tests. In addition, healthcare professionals should inform patients about the possibility of participating in the program.
