Praca poświęcona jest twórczości radiowej Orsona Wellesa. Temat został zbadany z perspektywy rozwoju gatunku jakim jest teatr radiowy oraz historii i wpływu radia na społeczeństwo. Przedstawiona została sylwetka Wellesa do okresu jego najaktywniejszej działalności radiowej włącznie. Jedną z najistotniejszych części pracy jest słynne słuchowisko Wellesa – „Wojna światów”, zbadane pod kątem wykorzystanych technik i jego oddziaływania na społeczeństwo amerykańskie.
The thesis is dedicated to Orson Welles’ radio creativity. The topic has been studied from the perspective of the development of the radio theatre’s genre and its influence on the society. Welles’ figure was presented up until his most active radio activity. One of the most crucial parts of the thesis is Welles’ famous radio play - "The War of the Worlds", examined under the account of the techniques used and its impact on American society.
