The grapheme-phoneme-correspondences on the basis of the language analysis of the village charter from Klein Lubin from the middle of the 17th century

The paper is an attempt at a graphemic-phonemic analysis of village council's regulations from Klein Lubin from the second half of the 17th century. The study shows the presence of the Middle High German and Early New High German language features and is connected with the wider historic and sociolinguistic studies on German language in Central and Eastern Europe. In the source text there may be found language elements from different German dialects, which were unified on the German eastward expansion area: High German diphthongization, Middle German monophthongization, labialization and delabialization of the vowels, lengthening and shortening of the vowels, the fusion of the old and new diphthongs or raising and lowering of the vowels.

Der Beitrag wurde als Versuch der graphematisch-phonematischen Analyse der Dorfwillkür von Klein Lubin aus der Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts konzipiert. Anhand der durchgeführten Sprachanalyse des Dokuments lassen sich die frühneuhochdeutschen Sprachmerkmale feststellen, was mit den breiteren sprachhistorischen Untersuchungen soziolinguistischer Prägung der in Mittel- und Osteuropa entstandenen Archivalien korrespondiert. Im Korpus werden folgende Lautwandelformen angetroffen: oberdeutsche Diphthongierung, mitteldeutsche Monophthongierung, Vokalrundung und -entrundung,
Vokaldehnung und -kürzung, Phonemzusammenfall sowie Vokalsenkung und -hebung.
