Celem niniejszego artykułu jest omówienie sposobów prezentowania przestrzeni w reportażu Miedzianka Filipa Springera. W moich badaniach pokazuję, w jaki sposób reporter dokumentuje nie tylko fizyczną degradację miejsca, ale też przy pomocy wybranych strategii narracyjnych eksponuje metaforyczny i kulturowy wymiar procesu znikania miasteczka. Przedstawione w artykule analizy wskazują, że Miedzianka ukazana zostaje w tekście dziennikarskim jako przestrzeń konkretna (istniejąca w dokumentach i pracach historyków), wyobrażeniowo-mityczna (utrwalona poprzez podania i legendy) oraz rekonstruowana na podstawie zgromadzonych fotografii i wspomnień.

The purpose of this article is to discuss the ways of presenting the space in Miedzianka by Filip Springer. In my research I present the way the reporter, who uses particular narrative strategies, not only describes the physical degradation of a place, but also strongly emphasizes the metaphorical and cultural dimension of the process of disappearing the town. The analyzes outlined in the article show that in the journalistic text Miedzianka is presented as a concrete space (existing in documents and historians' works), imaginative and mythical space (preserved through stories and legends) and a space reconstructed on the basis of the collected photos and memories.
