Functional and spatial changes in Jasło after 1990.

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie zmian funkcjonalno-przestrzennych w Jaśle po 1990 r., zapoczątkowanych w okresie transformacji. Omówiono sytuację społeczno-gospodarczą w mieście przed okresem transformacji, zwłaszcza w okresie PRL-u. Kolejnym etapem była analiza zmian, które nastąpiły w Jaśle w wyniku transformacji ustrojowej, w aspekcie gospodarczym i przestrzennym. Zwrócono uwagę zwłaszcza funkcjonowanie przemysłu i rozwój funkcji przemysłowej Jasła w zmieniającej się rzeczywistości gospodarczej, scharakteryzowano przemiany własnościowe i strukturalne w najważniejszych branżach i zakładach przemysłowych istotnych dla lokalnej i ponadlokalnej gospodarki. Podkreślono wzrost znaczenia funkcji turystycznej miasta jako nowej funkcji miejskiej. Uwzględniono zmiany zachodzące w społeczeństwie, trendy demograficzne i procesy społeczne charakterystyczne dla przestrzeni społecznej miasta. Finalnie podjęto próbę sformułowania wniosków i podsumowania zmian, które nastąpiły po 1990 r. w Jaśle.

The main reason of the master thesis is to present the most vital functional and spatial changes in Jasło after the systemic transformation, so after 1990s. First of all, it has been elaborated problems of socio-economic situation in Jasło before the systemic transformation, especially in the term of the PRL. The next stage was to analyze changes in the city after the systemic transformation, according to the economic and spatial issues. Thesis also referres to the industrian function of the city and evolution of this function in the changing local economy, it has been elaborated ownership and structural changes in the main branches of the industry and in the plants vital for the local and regional economy. It has been highlighted the growing importance of tourism function in the city as a brand new urban function. Subsequently, it has been taken under consideration social changes, demographical trends and social processes characteristic for the space of the city. Finally, the author has taken a try to construct the conclusions and the summing up of all the changes that have been done after 1990 in Jasło.
