Cyberbullying in the Internet in the opinion of schoolchildren.

Przedmiotem pracy są uwarunkowania związane z cyberprzemocą, przejawiającą się wśród polskiej młodzieży szkolnej, korzystającej z Internetu. Praca została napisana z punktu widzenia nauki o informacji. Głównym celem pracy było natomiast przedstawienie opinii młodzieży szkolnej – podstawowej oraz licealnej na temat cyberprzemocy. Cel ten osiągnięto poprzez studia literaturowe, a także badania własne zrealizowane z wykorzystaniem metody sondażowej i techniki ankiety na grupie stu osób. W toku badań wykazano, że skala problemu cyberprzemocy wśród młodych internautów jest stosunkowo duża, czemu sprzyja fałszywe poczucie anonimowości, brak umiejętności radzenia sobie ze stresem i rozładowania negatywnych emocji w inny sposób, a także ograniczona skłonność do poszukiwania pomocy przez ofiary.

The subject of the paper is the conditions related to cyberbullying, manifested among Polish school children who use the Internet. The paper was written from an information science perspective. The main aim of the study was to present the opinion of primary and secondary school students on cyberbullying. This goal was achieved through literature studies, as well as own research carried out using the survey method and enquiry technique on a group of one hundred people. Research has shown that the scale of the problem of cyberbullying among young Internet users is relatively large, which is fostered by a false sense of anonymity, a lack of ability to cope with stress and discharge negative emotions in another way, as well as a limited propensity for victims to seek help.
