Muzyka i Kulturowe Zmiany w Manchesterze 1960-1997

Głównym celem tej Pracy Licencjackiej jest przedstawienie najważniejszych grup muzycznych z Manchester'u, które przyczyniły się do rozwoju angielskiej kultry muzycznej. Skupiono się na okresie od 1960 do 1997, jednakże pierwszy rozdział jest poświęcony historii Manchester'u przed 1960. Praca zawiera opis takich zjawisk, jak Punk, Rave, czy Madczester, w celu zaprezentowania wpływu muzycznych trendów na zmiany kulturowe zachodzące w Manczester'ze i Wielkiej Brytanii. Wynik przeprowadzonej analizy potwierdza, że Manchester był miastem wyjątkowym, pod względem sceny muzycznej i jej wpływu na Brytyjską kulture.

The main purpose of this Bachelor Thesis is to present the most important music groups from Manchester, which contributed to development of English music culture. The focus was on the period from 1960 until 1997, nevertheless the first chapter is dedicated to history of Manchester before 1960. The thesis contains description of the phenomena, such as Punk, Rave or Madchester to present the impact of music trends on cultural changes taking place in Manchester and Great Britain. The results of the study confirm that Manchester was an exceptional city, in terms of music scene and influence on British culture.
