Concert as a ritual.

Tematem pracy są współczesne ceremonie świeckie, zdefiniowane jako rytualne obrzędy z cechami dawnych rytuałów magicznych. Celem pracy jest ukazanie procesu desakralizacji świata, który doprowadził do wkroczenia "sacrum" w sferę "profanum" na przykładzie współczesnego wydarzenia muzycznego. Dokonano analizy porównawczej koncertu muzyki reggae oraz muzyki poważnej. Metodą badawczą rytuałów jest obserwacja uczestnicząca oraz analiza fotografii i literatury. Badane przykłady (Ostróda Reggae Festival 2012 i Koncert Inauguracyjny Sezon Artystyczny 2012/2013 w Filharmonii Śląskiej) doprowadzają do nadrzędnej konkluzji pracy i bronią jej tezy. Muzyka wykonywana na żywo przed zgromadzoną publicznością jest nie tylko tłem dla rytuałów, ale koncert staje się nowoczesnym obrzędem.

The subject of this thesis are modern secular ceremonies, defined as a rituals with old magical rites features. The main aim of this work is to show the process of desacralisation of the world process which has lead "sacrum" sphere to enter "profanum" zone, on the example of modern music event. Comparative analysis has been made on reggae and symphonic music concerts. A research method of the rites are participation and observation and photographs and literature analysis. Tested examples (Ostróda Reggae Festival 2012 and The Artistic Season 2012/2013 Opening Concert in Silesian Philharmonic) has lead to the final conclusion of this thesis and defended its assumptions. The music performed live in front of the audience is not only the setting for rituals but concert becomes a modern rite itself.
