Anthropological features of the face and the perception of the credibility of the accused's explanations

Temat pracy magisterskiej brzmi "Cechy antropologiczne twarzy a postrzeganie wiarygodności wyjaśnień oskarżonego". Praca miała na celu zbadanie związku między cechami antropologicznymi twarzy a postrzeganiem wiarygodności oskarżonego. Na początku zdefiniowano i opisano podstawowe pojęcia używane w postępowaniu karnym, posługując się legalnymi definicjami, a następnie zwięźle opisano uprawnienia oskarżonego oraz świadka, oraz opisano różnice między nimi. Opisano również czynność procesową okazania. Kolejnym elementem pracy była charakterystyka zmiennych uczestniczących w procesie formowania się zeznań, by następnie przejść do przeglądu literatury dotyczącej czynników zakłócających czynność procesową okazania, koncentrując się na kwestiach związanych z wyglądem. Następnie poruszono kwestie metodologiczne pracy własnej. Kolejną częścią pracy była analiza statystyczna wyników badania własnego, po której następowała ich dyskusja. Całość zakończona została podsumowaniem.

The topic of the master's thesis is "Anthropological features of the face and the perception of the credibility of the accused's explanations." The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between facial anthropological features and the perception of the defendant's credibility. First, the basic concepts used in criminal proceedings were defined and described, using legal definitions, and then the rights of the accused and the witness were briefly described, as well as the differences between them. The process of presenting is also described. The next element of the work was the characterization of the variables involved in the process of forming testimony, and then moved on to a review of the literature on factors interfering with the production process, focusing on issues related to appearance. Then, methodological issues of the author's own work were discussed. The next part of the work was the statistical analysis of the results of the own study, followed by their discussion. The whole thing ended with a summary.
