Operations of forest kindergartens

StreszczenieW związku z brakiem badań, które opisują funkcjonowanie przedszkoli leśnych w Polsce, podjęłam eksploracje w powyższym zakresie, a obszarem przeprowadzonych badań uczyniłam krakowskie leśne przedszkole „Leśna Akademia”, w którym to zbadałam założycielkę danego przedszkola, dzieci do niego uczęszczające oraz ich rodziców. Wcześniej określiłam główne założenia leśnych przedszkoli za granicą, oraz opisałam historię i rozwój leśnej edukacji zarówno za granicą jak i w Polsce. Ponadto opisałam rolę natury w rozwoju dziecka powołując się na literaturę przedmiotu. W części metodologicznej wyróżniłam główne cele moich badań, a także wymieniałam metody, techniki oraz narzędzia badawcze, które stosowałam podczas nich. W wyniku przeprowadzonych i zinterpretowanych badań stworzyłam profil przykładowego przedszkola Leśnej Edukacji, a także zbadałam stosunek dzieci oraz rodziców do tego miejsca.

SummaryThe purpose of this thesis is to explore and assess the day to day operations of forest kindergartens in Poland. Forest kindergarten named “Forest Academy” located in Kraków, together with their staff, children who attend it and the children’s parents have been my field of research for this purpose. Firstly, the main assumptions of functioning of such kindergartens located abroad have been described. The introduction includes the history and development of forest education both in Poland and abroad, and the role of nature in child development, all based on the subject literature.Methodology part of the thesis emphasizes main goals of the research as well as all methods, techniques and research tools used throughout the subject study. The results of research and their interpretation led to the development of sample Forest Education kindergarten, as well as allowed for the assessment of children’s and their parents’ relationship and attitude to the place.
