Evolution of the scout movement in Poland and its impact on human education and development

Poniższa praca ,,Ewolucja ruchu harcerskiego w Polsce oraz jego wpływ na wychowanie i rozwój człowieka” ukazuje początki powstania skautingu w Anglii, dotarcie tej idei do Polski oraz dostosowanie jej do polskich realiów przez polskich instruktorów harcerskich. Szczegółowo opisane zostały dzieje polskiego ruchu harcerskiego oraz historyczne tło przemian tej organizacji na przestrzeni wieków. Uwzględniono również charakterystykę Związku Harcerstwa Polskiego oraz podstawowe zajęcia i obowiązki harcerzy w konkretnych przedziałach czasowych, od początku istnienia harcerstwa aż do czasów współczesnych. Kolejna część pracy zajmuje się oddziaływaniem organizacji harcerskich na wychowanie człowieka. Wyróżnione zostały podstawowe cele i ideały wychowawcze, najważniejsze założenia metodyczne harcerstwa, wybrane formy pracy harcerskiej oraz przykłady praktycznego zastosowania tych elementów w drużynie harcerzy. Scharakteryzowany został również ideał drużynowego, omówiono jego rolę w kształtowaniu charakterów młodych ludzi, a także przedstawiono rolę munduru harcerskiego, jego symbolikę i odwołanie do kilkuset letniej tradycji. W części końcowej pracy scharakteryzowano korzyści płynące z bycia harcerzem dawniej i obecnie.

The following work "The evolution of the scout movement in Poland and its impact on human upbringing and development" shows the beginnings of scouting in England, the arrival of this idea to Poland and its adaptation to Polish realities by Polish scout instructors. The history of the Polish scout movement and the historical background of the changes of this organization over the centuries are described in detail. The characteristics of the Polish Scouting Association and the basic activities and duties of scouts in specific time periods, from the beginning of scouting to modern times, were also considered. The next part of the work deals with the impact of scout organizations on human upbringing. The basic educational goals and ideals, the most important methodological assumptions of scouting, selected forms of scouting work and examples of practical application of these elements in a scout team were highlighted. The leader ideal was also characterized, its role in shaping the characters of young people was discussed, and the role of the scout uniform, its symbolism and reference to many years of tradition were presented. The final part of the work describes the benefits of being a scout in the past and nowadays.
