Efektywność metod nauczania kulturemów w procesie kształcenia tłumaczy: perspektywa studentów

Głównym celem niniejszej pracy jest poszerzenie zrozumienia opinii studentów przekładoznawstwa odnośnie metod stosowanych do nauczania kulturemów. Celem jest również zgłębienie poglądów studentów przekładoznawstwa na temat znaczenia kompetencji międzykulturowej w edukacji tłumaczy oraz jako elementu kompetencji tłumacza. Praca składa się z części teoretycznej i praktycznej. Rozdział pierwszy zawiera podsumowanie wybranych teoretycznych podejść do kompetencji międzykulturowej tłumacza oraz opisuje pojęcia kulturemu, ideologicznie-zależnego kulturemu oraz przykłady kategorii tekstów, w których te kulturemy mogą występować. W drugim rozdziale omówione są modele kompetencji tłumacza, kompetencja międzykulturowa oraz przykładowa kategoryzacja metod, które mogą być stosowane do rozwijania kompetencji międzykulturowej oraz znajomości kulturemów wśród studentów przekładoznawstwa. Część praktyczna niniejszej pracy jest opisem badania przeprowadzonego w kwietniu 2020 roku, które dotyczyło opinii studentów przekładoznawstwa na temat ich doświadczenia z metodami bazującymi na kulturemach podczas kształcenia tłumaczy, metod, które mogą być stosowane do nauczania ideologicznie-zależnych kulturemów oraz generalnego podejścia uczestników badania do znaczenia kompetencji międzykulturowej w kształceniu tłumaczy oraz jako elementu kompetencji tłumacza. Rozdział ten zawiera opis pytań badawczych, narzędzi badawczych, analizę wyników oraz wnioski wysunięte na podstawie otrzymanych wyników.

The goal of the present thesis is to broaden the understanding of translation students' opinions about the methods used to teach ideologically bound culturemes. The objective is also to explore translation students' perspectives on the importance of intercultural competence in translator education and as a component of translator competence. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical part. The Chapter One presents the reader with an overview of the theoretical perspectives on intercultural competence in translator profession and describes the notions of culturemes, ideologically bound culturemes and three selected examples of categories of texts in which those culturemes are likely to appear. The models of translator competence, translator intercultural competence and an example of categorization of methods which can be applied to develop translator's intercultural competence and familiarity with culturemes are discussed in the Chapter Two. The empirical part of the present thesis is a description of the research performed in April 2020 that was focused on students' opinions about the methods used to teach culturemes in translator education, their preferences with regards to the methods used to teach ideologically bound culturemes and respondents' general view on the importance of intercultural competence in translator education and as a component of translator competence. This chapter contains a description of the research questions, research tools, the analysis of the results and offers conclusions based on the results obtained.
