The category of preposition on the example of the preposition mit and its functional translational equivalents in Polish

Praca magisterska poświęcona jest kategorii przyimka i została podzielona na dwie części. W części pierwszej zostały opisane cechy oraz funkcje przyimków. Semantyczne ujęcie tej kategorii gramatycznej zostało przedstawione zarówno z perspektywy lingwistyki strukturalnej, jak i kognitywnej. W centrum niniejszej pracy znajduje się szczegółowa charakterystyka niemieckiego przyimka mit z uwzględnieniem cech na płaszczyźnie morfologicznej, składniowej i semantycznej. Ukazując cechy na ostatniej z wymienionych płaszczyzn, skoncentrowano się na opisaniu różnorodnych semantycznych wariantów tegoż przyimka. Ukazano ponadto funkcjonalne warianty znaczeniowe na podstawie wybranych autorów. Po teoretycznym wprowadzeniu na przykładzie wybranych informacji o produkcie, dzieła literackiego oraz instrukcji obsługi bada się frazy z mit wraz z ekwiwalentami tłumaczeniowymi w języku polskim. Druga część pracy zostaje zakończona wnioskami z analizy.

The master's thesis deals with prepositions and consists of two parts - a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes characteristics and functions of german preposition mit at the morphological, syntactic and semantic level. At the semantic level there are presented various variants of meaning of mit. The thesis includes also functional variants of meaning of this preposition. The practical part includes some texts (information about products, literary composition and manual), in which there are presented phrases of mit in polish translation.

Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit wird der Kategorie Präposition gewidmet und ist in zwei Teile gegliedert. Im ersten Teil sind die Eigenschaften und Funktionen der Präpositionen präsentiert. Auf der semantischen Ebene wird strukturelle und kognitive Linguistik berücksichtigt. In den Mittelpunkt der Arbeit steht ausführliche Charakteristik der deutschen Präposition mit auf der Ebene Morphologie, Syntax und Semantik. Bei dem semantischen Aspekt konzentriert man sich vor allem auf die Beschreibung verschiedener semantischen Varianten dieser Präposition. Es werden auch funktionale Bedeutungsvarianten von mit dargestellt. Nach der theoretischen Einführung werden die mit-Phrasen am Beispiel der ausgewählten Produktinformationen, eines literarischen Werks und einer Gebrauchsanweisung mit der polnischen Übersetzung analysiert.
