Educational, cultural and social life of the village Wieprz in years 1837-1945.

This research consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the history of the village ,from its beginnings till the middle of the ninetieth century, is discussed. The chapter discuses the following issues: the name, location, authorities, landlords, settlements and the church with its congregation. The second and the main chapter is entitled Educational system in Wieprz, and it presents the history of education in the area of the afore-said village. A core part of the second chapter is dedicated to the building of the school itself, and what follows, its equipment. What is more the teaching staff, course books and syllabus that the local students covered are described and analyzed. What the chapter also discuses are the educational reforms that had an impact on the school’s kelter. The last chapter of the research, entitled Social and cultural life in Wieprz, delineates the major institutions around which the social and cultural life concentrated. Organizations mentioned are: the local fire service, Kasa Stefczyka, The Dairy, farming interest group, teenagers’ association, and catholic young people’s association.

Praca ta, składa się z trzech części. W pierwszym rozdziale pracy ujęta została najstarsza historia wsi od początku jej istnienia do połowy XIX wieku. W rozdziale tym zostały opisane: nazwa i położenie geograficzne, władza zwierzchnia, właściciele, osadnictwo oraz parafia i kościół .W drugim właściwym już rozdziale pracy zatytułowanym Szkolnictwo w Wieprzu podjęta została próba przedstawienia historii szkolnictwa na omawianym obszarze. W tej części dużo miejsca poświecone zostało kwestią związanym z budynkiem szkoły i co się z tym również wiąże z jego wyposażeniem. Opisana została także kadra nauczycielska oraz podręczniki i programy nauczania, z jakich korzystali tutejsi uczniowie. Rozdział ten opisuje również reformy w systemie szkolnictwa, które miały wpływ na funkcjonowanie szkoły w Wieprzu. Ostatni rozdział pracy pt. Życie społeczno-kulturalne wsi Wieprz omawia najważniejsze instytucje, w których to życie się skupiało. Opisane zostały takie organizacje jak: straż pożarna, mleczarnia, kasa Stefczyka, kółko rolnicze, koło młodzieży oraz katolickie zrzeszenie młodzieży.
