Praca jest poświęcona polskim adaptacjom powieści Fiodora Dostojewskiego. Hipoteza pracy zakłada, że przenoszenie dzieła literackiego z jednej formy do drugiej (dzieło literackie - teatr) oraz z jednej kultury do innej (Rosja - Polska) wiąże się z utratą niektórych treści w przekładzie. Celem pracy jest zbadanie, które wątki z powieści Fiodora Dostojewskiego, polski reżyser zachował, a które pominą i jaki jest tego skutek dla sztuki jako całości. Materiałem badawczym w pracy jest polska adaptacja scenariusza "Zbrodnia i kara" Waldemara Śmigasiewicza (2007) i adaptacja powieści "Biesy" Krzysztofa Jasińskiego (2007).

This paper is devoted to the Polish adaptation of the novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Working hypothesis assumes that the transfer of literary works from one form to another (a literary work - theater) and from one culture to another (Russia - Poland) is associated with a loss of certain topics in translation. The aim of this work is to examine which threads of Fyodor Dostoyevsky novel, Polish film director has preserved and which has changed and what is the result for the play as a whole. Study material is a Polish screenplay adaptation of Crime and Punishment by Waldemar Śmigasiewicz (2007) and adaptation of novel Demons by Krzysztofa Jasinski (2007).
