Euroorphanhood as a phenomenon affecting the child's functioning in selected social environments

Wraz z wstąpieniem Polski do Unii Europejskiej nasiliły się migracje Polaków w obrębie państw wspólnoty. Pojawiło się, bezpośrednio powiązane z migracją, zjawisko eurosieroctwa dzieci i młodzieży. Zagraniczne migracje rodziców bezpośrednio oddziaływają na rozwój psychospołeczny dziecka. W pracy tej ukazany został obraz funkcjonowania dziecka z rodziny euromigracyjnej w środowisku rodzinnym, szkolnym i rówieśniczym. Przytoczone zostały wyniki wybranych badań na temat sytuacji życiowej dzieci euromigrantów, które zostały porównane z powszechnie konstruowanym stereotypowym obrazem dziecka eurosieroty. Przedmiotem rozważań są również kontrowersje związane z terminem eurosieroctwo i zasadnością jego użycia wobec wszystkich dzieci migrantów. Praca prezentuje również dostępne sposoby pomocy rodzinie euromigracyjnej. Zwraca uwagę na istotną rolę nauczyciela - pedagoga w procesie jej udzielania. Na podstawie przytoczonych badań zostały wywiedzione wnioski dotyczące eurosieroctwa oraz ich implikacje pedagogiczne.

With Poland's accession to the European Union, migrations of Poles within the EU increased. The Euroorphanage of children and young people, which is directly linked to migration, has emerged. Foreign migration of parents has a direct impact on the child's psychosocial development. The paper presents a picture of the functioning of a child from a Euromigrants family in a family, school and peer environment. The results of selected studies on the life situation of the children of Euromigrants were presented, which were compared with the commonly constructed stereotypical image of a Euroorphan child. The controversy over the term Euro-orphanage and the legitimacy of its use for all migrant children is also the subject of discussion. The work also presents the available ways of helping the Euromigrants family. The work draws attention to the important role of the teacher-educator in the process of providing assistance. On the basis of the above mentioned studies, conclusions concerning Euro-orphanages and their pedagogical implications were drawn.
