Alternative culture in totalitarianism. Avant-garde music in Soviet Union from 1970 to 1990.

Państwa demokratyczne, gdzie władza z reguły nie stosuje represji w ramach walki z różnorodnością są dobrym gruntem dla rozwoju kultury alternatywnej. Jak w takim razie wygląda sytuacja w ustroju totalitarnym, w którym podstawę stanowi cenzura, uniformizacja i posłuszeństwo jedynej właściwej doktrynie? Na przykładzie Związku Radzieckiego w latach 1970-1990 chcę pokazać w jaki sposób funkcjonowały wybrane grupy muzyczne, dla których reżim nie stanowił bezwzględnej bariery do reprezentowania alternatywnych form ekspresji. Skupiam się na artystach związanych z trzema lokacjami: Leningradem, Moskwą i Syberią. W ich twórczości poszukuję wpływu życia w ustroju totalitarnym na warstwę liryczną.

In democratic countries, where government doesn't use a great part of it's power to fight the diversity, there are many great opportunities for an alternative culture to grow. What about the situation in countries that are under totalitarian regime, where censorship, standarization and obedience for only one rightful doctrine are the foundation of existence? I used the 1970-1990's Soviet Union as an example to show how some of alternative musical groups had functioned in three major places: Leningrad, Moscow and Siberia. I also seek for the influence of living under the totalitarian rule in their lyrical work.
