Zrobiłam Opis przypadku zastosowania aplikacji mobilnej “Streetsmart” w pracy socjalnej.
The work is about the Millennial generation and the challenge facing a social worker in the age of the Internet and modern technologies. At the beginning I described the theoretical outline of the concept of virtual society and Bourdieu field. In the next chapter, I focused on how the Internet creates a new form of social integration, depriving people of the distance between themselves, which allows them to speed up their lives. Reaching the conclusion that the boundaries of the social structure defined in the virtual network is a natural phenomenon. However, the object defining the boundaries and social structure are users who differ from each other primarily due to their age and life goals. In order to more accurately approximate the essence of group differences in the network, I focused on the analysis of generational theory, including the theory of X, Y, and Z. I describe inequalities in the network that result from differences in generations. I also focused on the psychological peculiarities of the Y generation and tried to compare them with the peculiarities of psychological development in people of the student age. What was important in my work was the personality aspects of the Millennium generation and their impact on employment and work. I have not omitted other spheres of life, for example, private and social life. I described a phenomenon where young people aged 20-30 are not able to establish deep and meaningful relationships. Despite having many friends in the virtual world, these people usually agree with the fact of the superficiality of these relationships. Such interactions most often boil down to spending time together during entertainment, events, but if something undesirable happens, you can not fully count on these relationships. Therefore, if a problem or an undesirable situation occurs, these people will not seek support from friends, and they turn their attention towards technical devices, the Internet and social networking sites, that is to such elements of everyday life that provide short-term satisfaction. I also drew attention to the positive and negative aspects of progress. However, the important phenomenon, which I also drew attention to, is that young people need a different approach compared to the older generation. Speaking of a different approach, I meant, among other things, the use of new technologies, including social work, looking for new approaches, the possibility of usingnew technological inventions. In subsequent chapters, I focused on innovative technologies in social sciences. I made a description of the case of using the "Streetsmart" mobile application in social work.
