Niniejsza praca skupia się na ukazaniu historii powstania oraz odniesieniu sukcesu przez firmę Helena Rubinstein. Opisane zostały losy założycielki firmy, począwszy od dzieciństwa na krakowskim Kazimierzu, przez życie w Australii, podróże po Europie, aż do zbudowania kosmetycznego imperium. W pracy poruszone są kwestie sytuacji politycznej i społecznej na przestrzeni życia Heleny Rubinstein. This thesis focuses on showing the history of the creation and success of the Helena Rubinstein company. The fate of the company's founder is described, starting from her childhood in Kazimierz, Cracow, through life in Australia, travels in Europe, to the construction of a cosmetic empire. The thesis addresses the political and social situation over the life of Helena Rubinstein. An important aspect is the description of unconventional solutions, scientific approach to the field of cosmetology and the heroine's dedication of her entire life's work, affecting both the cosmetic industry, advertising, position and awareness of women during the period of emancipation changes. Passages from Helena's life that may have had a decisive impact on the fate of the company are described in detail. Initially, the thesis also thoroughly analyzes the sphere of Helena's feelings and beliefs, which is known on the basis of her autobiography; later, as the company develops, the attention is focused more on issues related to the company's operations and economic and social situation, as well as competition with competitors. The thesis also describes selected product innovations and actions taken that influenced Rubinstein's success. Individual cosmetic products are also analyzed, with more in-depth analysis of contemporary, more generally historical ones.At the end of the thesis, a summary is presented with conclusions, based on available sources about Helena Rubinstein, her activities, what influenced the success achieved and the subsequent fate of the company. Nevertheless, Helena Rubinstein became an icon of the cosmetic world, on top of that, living and creating the company in extremely dynamic times.She is an example of a successful woman who created a cosmetics empire from scratch.
