Praca poświęcona analizie awarii w elektrowni w Fukushimie. Przedstawia przebieg wydarzeń wraz z komentarzem, od chwili uderzenia tsunami do maja 2012 roku włącznie. Celem opracowania jest wskazanie przyczyn katastrofy przemysłowej, z naciskiem na czynnik ludzki. Pierwszy rozdział poświęcony jest omówieniu kataklizmów naturalnych występujących w Japonii w XX stuleciu i wskazanie ich powtarzających się elementów. Wprowadzony zostaje termin „łańcucha katastrof”, służący do określenia przyczynowo-skutkowego powiązania kolejnych zjawisk. Ma to na celu zapobieganie podobnym przypadkom w przyszłości. Rozdział drugi poświęcony jest w całości wydarzeniom w elektrowni. Ostatni rozdział przedstawia społeczny kontekst wydarzeń z marca 2011 roku oraz międzynarodowe reakcje na kryzys nuklearny w Fukushimie. Omówione zostają tutaj zmiany w postrzeganiu energii atomowej w Japonii oraz w państwach ją wykorzystujących. Rozdział ten porusza tematykę najświeższych wydarzeń w Japonii w związku z rocznicą trzęsienia ziemi z 2011 roku.

My dissertation is devoted Fukushima's disaster. Presents the course of events, along with commentary, from the moment of tsunami impact to May 2012.The purpose of this diploma paper is to identify the causes of industrial disaster, with emphasis on the human factor.The first chapter focuses on the presentation of natural disasters occurring in Japan in the twentieth century, and an indication of their repetitive elements.The term "chain of disasters" is introduced in this chapter and it is used to determine the cause-effect relations between consecutive events.This is to prevent similar cases occurring in the future. The entire second chapter is devoted to events in the nuclear plant. The last chapter presents the social context of events in the March 2011, and the international reactions to the nuclear crisis in Fukushima. Discussed here are the changes in the perception of nuclear energy in Japan and in countries that use it.This chapter also mentions recent events in Japan connected with the anniversary of the earthquake of 2011.
