Rozumowanie i osąd moralny są podstawową cechą wszelkich ludzkich działań i coraz częściej podlegają naukowej analizie. Najnowsze badania z zakresu neuropsychologii i psychologii moralności podkreślają rolę emocji w podejmowaniu decyzji. Celem badań podjętych w ramach niniejszej pracy była ocena zależności pomiędzy częstością odczuwania stresu i nasileniem doświadczanego stresu, a deklarowaną postawą moralną i moralnością deklarowanych decyzji co do własnego postępowania. Grupę badawczą stanowiły 254 pełnoletnie i czynne zawodowo osoby, zamieszkujące teren całej Polski. Wraz z wiekiem i stażem zawodowym wzrastają wyniki w autorskich kwestionariuszach dotyczących moralności, a wraz ze wzrostem zarobków maleje częstość odczuwania i nasilenie doświadczania stresu.
Reasoning and moral judgement are a fundamental feature of all human actions and are increasingly subject to scientific analysis. Recent research in neuropsychology and moral psychology emphasises the role of emotions in decision-making. The aim of the research undertaken in this study was to assess the relationship between the frequency of feeling stressed and the intensity of the stress experienced, and the declared moral attitude and morality of the declared decisions about one's own behaviour. The research group consisted of 254 adult and professionally active individuals, living throughout Poland. The research used original questionnaires to assess the intensity of experienced stress and the attribution of stress in the professional context, as well as a questionnaire on the declared moral attitude and a questionnaire on the morality of declared decisions. Research hypotheses were formulated and statistically tested in the study. The study showed that declared moral attitude is neither related to the frequency of feeling stressed nor to the intensity of stress experiencing, but as the frequency of feeling stressed and the intensity of experiencing stress increases, the morality of declared decisions decreases. Those consulting a specialist in relation to the stress experienced are characterised by higher scores on the questionnaire of declared moral attitude than respondents not consulting the specialists, whereas this relationship does not exist in terms of the morality of declared decisions. It was also shown that high scores on the questionnaire of declared moral attitude are associated with higher scores on the questionnaire of morality of declared decisions. Scores on the author’s morality questionnaires increase with age and seniority (length of service), and the frequency and severity of experiencing stress decreases as earnings increase. The analysis also showed that earnings are not related to the morality indicators used in the study.
