Sports betting as an element of gambling and corruption in sports

Celem pracy jest pokazanie jak zjawisko korupcji oraz hazard wpływa na postrzeganie sportu w Polsce i na świecie oraz zanikania zasad fair play. Przedmiotem badania jest natomiast występowanie zjawiska korupcji w sporcie przez obserwatorów, kibiców oraz istota zakładów bukmacherskich. Szukając odpowiedzi na postawiony cel badawczy zostały stworzone następujące pytania badawcze: Czy uważasz, że korupcja w sporcie istnieje? Czy uważasz, że Fair Play w sporcie istnieje? Czy uważasz, że korupcja w sporcie jest powiązana z zakładami bukmacherskimi? Jaki jest Twój bilans finansowy od początku grania w zakładach bukmacherskich? Czy zdarzyło Ci się wydać za dużo pieniędzy na zakłady, a później miałeś/aś problemy finansowe do następnej wypłaty?Metodą badawczą wykorzystaną w pracy magisterskiej była autorska ankieta przeprowadzona wśród osób, które kiedykolwiek korzystały z usług bukmachera. Analiza wyników badań wykazała, że według ankietowanych korupcja w sporcie istnieje, Fair Play w sporcie również ma miejsce, korupcja nie jest powiązana z zakładami bukmacherskimi, większość ludzi przegrywa pieniądze aniżeli wygrywa oraz zdecydowana większość badanych osób nigdy nie miała problemów z tytułu zbyt dużej ilości wydanych pieniędzy na zakłady bukmacherskie.

The aim of the master thesis is to show how the phenomenon of corruption and gambling affect the perception of sport in Poland and around the world and the disappearance of fair play principles. The subject of the study is the occurrence of corruption in sport by observers, fans and the essence of bookmakers. Searching for answers to the set research goal, the following research questions were created: Do you think that corruption in sport exists? Do you think there is fair play in sport? Do you think corruption in sport is related to sports betting? What is your financial balance from the beginning of betting at sports betting? Have you ever spent too much money on betting and then had financial problems until your next payout?The research method used in the master's thesis was an original survey conducted among people who have ever used the services of a bookmaker. The analysis of the research results showed that, according to the respondents, corruption exists in sport, there is also fair play in sport, corruption is not related to sports betting, most people lose money rather than win, and the vast majority of respondents have never had problems with too much money spent. money for sports betting.
