The image of a rebellious woman based on the 19th-century novels Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Lalka by Bolesław Prus and Madame Bovary by Gustav Flaubert

Niniejsza praca skupia się na kwestii buntu kobiecych bohaterek w trzech powieściach XIX-wiecznych: „Annie Kareninie” Lwa Tołstoja, „Lalce” Bolesława Prusa oraz „Pani Bovary” Gustawa Flauberta. Koncepcja przedstawienia i porównania bohaterek zbuntowanych jest próbą wskazania nowej recepcji postaw głównych bohaterek powieści z XIX wieku wchodzących w skład kanonu światowej i polskiej literatury oraz rozbudowania feministycznego sposobu odczytania tych dzieł. Autorka analizuje istotę buntu oraz wpływ, jaki miał on na życie Anny Kareniny, Izabeli Łęckiej oraz Emmy Bovary. W niniejszej pracy omówiona jest też rola otoczenia bohaterek oraz oddziaływanie społeczeństwa na ich zbuntowane postawy, a także konsekwencje kobiecego buntu. Autorka analizuje również ekranizacje powieści powstałe na przestrzeni lat, by zbadać zmiany w recepcji tych utworu oraz obrazu głównych bohaterek.

This work focuses on the issue of female heroine rebellion in three 19th-century novels: "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy, "The Doll" by Bolesław Prus and "Madame Bovary" by Gustave Flaubert. The concept of presenting and comparing rebellious heroines is an attempt to indicate a new reception of attitudes of the main characters of novels from the 19th century, which are part of the canon of world and Polish literature, and to develop a feminist way of reading these works. The author analyzes the essence of the rebellion and the impact it had on the lives of Anna Karenina, Izabela Łęcka and Emma Bovary. This work also discusses the role of the protagonists' environment and the impact of society on their rebellious attitudes, as well as the consequences of women's rebellion. The author also analyzes the film adaptations of the novels created over the years to examine changes in the reception of these works and the image of the main characters.
