Religious syncretism. Voyage to the Orient by Gérard de Nerval

Celem pracy było przedstawienie koncepcji synkretyzmu wg. Gérarda de Nervala który pojawia się w jego zbiorze opowiadań z podróży, Podróż na Wschód. We wstępie, przedstawiono problem zmienności i złożoności pojęcia jakim jest synkretyzm religijny. Dalej, przedstawiono rozwój koncepcji synkretyzmu religijnego we Francji od XVII do XIX wieku. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na problem synkretyzmu romantycznego, którego przedstawicielem jest m. in. Gérard de Nerval. Następnie, zajęto się tematyką koncepcji synkretyzmu nervalowskiego, jego źródeł i manifestacji. Następnie, przedstawiono synkretyzm wg Nervala na przykładzie dwóch opowiadań z Podróży na Wschód. W podsumowaniu, wyróżniono elementy które tworzą niepowtarzalną koncepcję artystyczną Nervala.

The purpose of this work is to present the concept of syncretism by Gérard de Nerval, which appears in one of his works, Voyage to the Orient. In the introduction, we present the problem of changeable and complexity of the notion of religious syncretism. Further, we present the evolution of the idea of religious syncretism in France between XVII and XIX century. We bring our attention to the problem of romantic syncretism which is represented by Gérard de Nerval. Further, we concentrate on the nervalian concept of syncretism, its sources and representations. Next, we present the concept of Nerval's syncretism on the example of two stories belonging to the Voyage to the Orient. In summary, we mark out the elements which create the unique and artistic concept of Nerval.

Ce travail a pour objectif la présentation du syncrétisme selon Gérard de Nerval, qui est montré dans son recueil des récits de voyage, Le Voyage en Orient. Dans l’introduction, on présente le problème de la variabilité et de la complexité du syncrétisme religieux. Ensuite, on présente son développement en France du XVIe au XIXe siècle. On fait l’attention au problème du syncrétisme romantique, présenté entre autre par Gérard de Nerval. Après, on discute la conception du syncrétisme nervalien, ses sources et ses manifestations. Enfin, on l’analyse dans deux récit du Voyage en Orient.
