The author discusses the rules on State liability for unlawful judgments in Polish law after their revision in 2010. According to a new rule a claim for damages arising from judicial acts that are not subject to an action for rendering a valid judgment unlawful may be brought before a district court without prior determination of their illegality. The analysis of different aspects and consequences of the legislative changes is followed by the discussion of the conditions of State liability.
