Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie przemian, które obecnie zachodzą w Katarze za sprawą organizacji Mistrzostw Świata w Piłce Nożnej w 2022 roku. Istotne znaczenie ma rozwój sektora sportowego oraz infrastruktury. Katarskie społeczeństwo jest zachęcane do prowadzenia zdrowego trybu życia, gdzie ważnym czynnikiem jest edukacja młodzieży i możliwości rozwoju, jakie otrzymują młodzi sportowcy. Przygotowania do turnieju są zakrojone na szeroką skalę, budowie stadionów towarzyszy zaawansowana technologia a infrastruktura rozrasta się w bardzo szybkim tempie. W pracy przedstawione są plany rozwojowe, na których bazuje Katar oraz projekty realizowane przez państwo w celu rozbudowy i zintegrowania transportu. Nadrzędnym celem Kataru jest dywersyfikacja gospodarki, gdzie organizacja Mistrzostw Świata w Piłce Nożnej w 2022 roku to jeden z czynników, który pozwala na rozwijanie różnych sektorów gospodarczych w państwie.

The aim of this research is to describe changes which are currently taking place in Qatar due to the organization of the World Cup in 2022. It is important to develop the sports sector and infrastructure. Qatari society is encouraged to lead a healthy lifestyle where young people's education and development opportunities are important for young athletes. Tournament preparation is extensive, building of stadiums is accompanied by advanced technology and the infrastructure is growing at a very fast pace. The study outlines the development plans on which Qatar is based, as well as government projects to expand and integrate transport. The most important aim of Qatar is to diversify the economy, where the organization of the World Cup in 2022 is one of the factors that enables the development of various economic sectors in the state.
