Misinformation effect and agency and community and locus of control

Efekt dezinformacji polega na włączeniu do raportu pamięciowego elementu dodatkowego lub zmienionego, który pochodzi spoza samego zdarzenia. The misinformation effect consists in including an additional or changed element in the memory report that comes from outside the event itself. The aim of the study was to replicate the misinformation effect and to understand the relationship between it and agency, community and locus of control. It is expected that a person who scores higher on the agency scale will be less susceptible to the misinformation effect than a person who scores higher on the communality scale. And that the more internal the sense of control, the less susceptibility to misinformation. The effect has been replicated and the hypotheses confirmed, although the effects are not strong. The conclusions of the research suggest that agency persons are more resistant to misinformation than community persons. In addition, the internal locus of control correlates negatively with the number of answers given in accordance with the misinformation.
