Economic and social conditioning of the Korean Peninsula's unification policy from the South Korean perspective between 1989 and 2021

Tematem omawianym w niniejszej pracy są perspektywy zjednoczeniowe państw koreańskich w okresie od 1989 do 2021 roku, skupiając się na zagadnieniach z dziedzin polityki, ekonomii i socjologii. Tekst obejmuje analizę strategii oraz inicjatyw politycznych i gospodarczych Korei Południowej względem procesu pełnej integracji państw Półwyspu. Poddane interpretacji zostają również potencjalne skutki polityczne, gospodarcze i społeczne dla Republiki Korei, mające miejsce w przypadku ewentualnego zjednoczenia. Praca uwzględnia teoretyczne aspekty integracji opracowane przez Karla Deutscha oraz Amitaia Etzioniego, celem lepszego zrozumienia omawianej problematyki. Założeniem tekstu jest na podstawie złożonej analizy, udowodnienie braku możliwości pełnoskalowej integracji tych państw w ciągu najbliższych kilkudziesięciu lat.

The subject of this paper is the perspectives on the unification of the Korean states from 1989 to 2021, with a focus on the fields of politics, economics and sociology. The text includes an analysis of the political and economic strategies and initiatives of South Korea towards the process of full integration of the Korean Peninsula. Political, economic and social consequences for the Republic of Korea in the event of potential unification are also subject of interpretation. The paper takes into account the theoretical aspects of integration developed by Karl Deutsch and Amitai Etzioni, aiming to enhance understanding of the discussed issues. The premise of the text is to demonstrate the lack of feasibility of full-scale integration of these states in the coming decades based on a comprehensive analysis.
