Development of Middle East airlines on the example of Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways

Tematem pracy jest rozwój trzech największych bliskowschodnich linii lotniczych. Są nimi Emirates, Etihad Airways oraz Qatar Airways. Celem pracy jest analiza procesu rozwoju tytułowych linii lotniczych oraz ukazanie strategii, dzięki której udało im się osiągnąć sukces w branży lotniczej. W trzech rozdziałach opisano najważniejsze zagadnienia, które pomagają zobrazować działalność linii lotniczych, historię każdej linii, wyniki oraz osiągnięcia bliskowschodnich przewoźników. Praca ukazuje również złożoność i nieprzewidywalność branży lotniczej. Poruszony został również temat wpływu linii lotniczych na gospodarki Zjednoczonych Emiratów Arabskich oraz Kataru.

The subject of this thesis is the development of the three largest Middle East airlines. These are Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways. The aim of the work is to analyze the development process of the airlines and to show the strategy thanks to which they succeeded in the aviation industry. The three chapters describe the most important issues that help illustrate the airlines operations, the history of each airline, the results and achievements of Middle Eastern carriers. The work also shows the complexity and unpredictability of the aviation industry. The issue of the influence of airlines on the economies of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar was also discussed.
